Oh the joyful anticipation
Of the voice I long to hear.
It will be this proclamation,
Dear child "Come up here".
This will be my graduation,
There'll be no thought of fear.
This will be my emancipation,
From earthly trials and tears.
How wonderful it will be,
To look on His face.
To see the One
Who saved my by His grace.
But should this celestial summons,
Comes early or late.
I am willing to "occupy"
And by His grace patiently wait.
There are many others,
Who need to know
This blessed Savior,
Who loves them so.
So while I wait,
I'll watch and pray.
Be salt and light,
To show others the way.
Forgetting the past,
I press toward the goal
To receive the prize
The high-calling of my soul.
To be in Heaven,
To sit at His feet,
To see all my loved ones,
And joyously greet.
