Happy Times

We are not retired,
But re-fired.
We are a group of happy folks.
Meeting together to share love and jokes.
Singing our songs with melody,
Trying to keep in harmony.
Playing our games as we are lead,
By Bob Carpenter and Marguerite Head.
Showing slides of yesteryear,
Memories that some hold dear.
Or showing places we've never been,
Interesting people and beautiful scenes.
Of course, eating is always fun,
And that's what we do before we are done.
Altogether it is great to be
Part of this great big family!

My Friend

Dear Grace DeVaux,
A precious friend, who I do know.
She is gracious and so sweet,
A lovely lady, so petite.
She's as fragile as a flower,
Lord, I pray for her this hour.
The promise for her You gave to me,
"As thy days, so shall thy strength be."
Preserve and keep her from all care,
Help her to know that you are near.
Bless her family and save them too,
So they'll be in Heaven with her You!
