A Prayer for my Family

Bless my precious family, Lord,
I am leaning on Your Word.
Believe in Me and I'll save them too  [Acts 16:31]
I claim this promise, Your Word is true.
All we like sheep have gone astray [Isaiah 53:6]
Bring them back to the narrow way,
The road that leads to peace and power,
Speak to them this very hour.
They need to repent and minds renew,
To humble themselves and call on You.
Draw them with tender cords of love,
May they seek these things, that are above.
Where you sit upon Your throne,
You must save, and You alone!
I commit them all to You.
Thank you Lord, for what you'll do!

A Prayer for Today

Dear Lord, I praise Thee, I love Thee, I bless Thee,
Without You I am nothing!
Without you I can do nothing!
Give me strength for this day
Keep me close, I pray.
May my mind be stayed on You,
Looking up, with You in view.
Lord I need Your grace and power
To sustain me through the trying hour.
I will trust and not be afraid,
Knowing that on me, your hands have laid.
I fully commit myself this day,
To abide in You, and watch and pray.
For others I would intercede,
For world evangelism and its need.
I praise You for Your loving care,
God, bless Your children everywhere.

Complete in Thee

Thank you, Lord, for bringing David home.
Keep him from straying, don't let him roam.
But go Your way, yearning for You,
Deliver him from the evil one, staying true.
He knows the way, I believe he's Your child,
May he learn to be humble, meek, and mild.
Leaning upon You to see him through,
Thank you Lord, for what You'll do!

You will never let him go,
Thank you, Lord, for loving him so.
Keep him walking in the light,
To walk by faith, not by sight.
And to learn to walk the narrow way,
To feed on Your Word, taking time to pray.
To be diligent, honest, and true,
So that his life will glorify you

A Nurse's Witness (a Prayer)

Father, we need to reach out and touch
Our patients hurting so very much.
Show us how to communicate,
Give wisdom to know how to relate.

We need your compassion and love,
Adorned with knowledge from above.
Give us grace Thy name to exalt,
May our speech be always seasoned with salt.

Help us to be friendly and winsome,
That we might be able to win some.
Give opportunities to encourage
Those oppressed and discouraged.

Give us boldness to present
The Gospel - Heaven-sent.
Shod our feet with the gospel of peace
That in You they might find release.

Prepare their hearts to believe,
And the Lord Jesus receive.
Thank you Lord for what you'll do
Through us as we wait upon You!

Witnessing (The Sweetest Story Ever Told)

The world is in darkness waiting to hear
This good news we hold so dear
Many are lost, desolate and blue,
And need to now this message true.

How God loved them enough to send
His blessed Son to be their friend.
Who bled and died on Calvary,
To free them from sin and slavery.

Oh, Lord, constrain us to go
And tell others You love them so.
How you rose again to live within,
To give power and victory over sin.

Give us listening ears of love,
With strength and courage from above.
To be Your witnesses, brave and bold,
To proclaim the sweetest story ever told.

Witnessing (The Gospel)

How will others know the way
If we don't care enough to pray?
And tell them by our lives and lips the story
The good news of grace and glory?

So many are filled with misery and woe,
And need to be told which way to go.
Some are lonely and sad.
Do we care enough to tell them of God?

Some are searching, all in vain,
The truth we have and should proclaim.
How the Father so loved, He gave His Son,
How Christ died, our sins to atone.

And that He arose triumphantly,
And is coming again gloriously.
Lord, give us grace to go and tell
This great love story, "The Gospel"
