The King is Coming

Though man may continually deny,
On this fact, I firmly rely,
He's coming soon!

Though some men may scoff and chide,
And Jesus' precious name deride,
He's coming soon!

What matters if the nation's rail?
God's Word will still prevail.
He's coming soon!

Though many on self does depend,
His lifespan, too, will soon end.
He's coming soon!

Hearts are filled with rebellion and strife
Why don't they seek Him, Who is life?
He's coming soon!

Material gains will soon be gone,
What of heavenly rewards to be won?
He's coming soon!

To Marguerite

You're a gracious lady, too
I hope the things you said are true.
It's only as we look to Him,
Our faith and love will not grow dim.
O what a Savior is this,
Giving us glory and bliss.
As we await His coming,
May we more like him, becoming.
Bless each lady as you meet,
Wednesday morning at His feet.
My love reaches out to everyone.
We'll meet again at the throne.
The time is now "eleven fifty-nine",
It won't be long, "what joy divine!"
