The seed must be sown,
The Lord is coming soon.
We must cultivate with prayers,
He will many hearts prepare.
We know that some will refuse
This glorious tiding, "The Good News",
Some seed will fall on rocky ground,
No lasting growth will be found.
Thorns will kill and choke out some
Of the precious seed that's sown.
Some soil will be just right
To germinate and bring forth fruit.
We'll water it with our tears
He'll give the increase through the years
An abundant harvest to gather in
Many precious sheaves will be heard
The joy of the Lord will be our reward.
