My grandmother, a devout Christian, wrote many poems in the 1980s and 1990s. I wanted to preserve them for family members and whoever else was interested in them. She was a fierce prayer-warrior. She had 2 sons and 2 daughters, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She wrote some poems to different friends, children, and grandchildren as well. I can still her hear her say, "Bless your little heart." She went to be with her Lord in October 1999.

The Abundant Life
By faith, I surrender Lord to Thee. Exchange and live your Life in me. By Thy grace, I yield to Thee, To give me life abundantly. Free me from self-effort and strife. Make me fruitful in my life.
