To My Dear Friend Hattie on her 96th Birthday

Dear Hattie,

Just a note to let you know, how nice it is to be with you.

On this your celebration day, on this your 96th birthday,
Praise the Lord for what He's done, giving you strength in His dear Son.

He has brought you from your youth,
He will guide you 'til your death.

He has brought you to your hoar hair,
He has used you to help others to care.

He will never forsake you.
He will use you and make you a strength and a power to everyone to come.
You'll have many spiritual children in the Kingdom,
As you wait and watch and pray,
May God bless you good, on your birthday!
